Fun with Words

Last week Room 4 went crazy finding, writing and using the prefix dis-.
Charlotte was an inspiration with her list of 114 words.
We made a word chain using dis- words.
This week we are learning about the suffix -est that goes at the end of some words.
What does -est do to a root word?

Your challenge this week is to post a blog comment that shows a root word and the word when -est has been added to the end. What do you notice?
Here is my example:

 fast   fastest   We use fastest to compare different speedy objects.

This week's Hero of the Week - Caleb.

Caleb is this week's Hero of the Week. We had so many positive things to say about Caleb, we didn't know where to start. What a great role model and kind friend you are Caleb.

Kick It action

Here we are practising our soccer skills for our final Kick It session. It has been a great chance to develop our soccer skills and then use them in a variety of games.

Isaac the Maths Teacher

Here is Isaac marking the Mighty Maths Maintenance that he set for the class. He did a great job of making us think through problems and talk about our strategies. Great job Isaac!

Hero of the Week - Cameron!

This week we are celebrating our latest Hero of the Week -Cameron! We had so many great comments to make about our classmate Cam. Lots of people have noticed how focussed Cam has become with his work and how much effort he is putting in to be the best he can be with everything.
Keep up the great work Cam - we're so glad you're on our team!
